HOW TO: get away with an ex (Part 1)

  • Stop running away from memories, live and absorb them; otherwise they will hunt you forever.

  • Bury all the “what if” and “but”, everything happens for a reason and maybe you are not able to understand it right now, but be sure that one day (not so far away) you’ll do it.

  • Find someone to talk to until you’ll be so tired that you’ll realize you’ll get bored by yourself.

  • Take a pen and a piece of paper and write, write everything comes to your mind, also in a chaotic way. Do it because you will immediately feel free from obsessive thoughts.

  • Try to stop yourself for a while and ask “Is this feeling real?” Sometimes we only are fighting against an idea, simply because our ego lets us bypass the truth we don’t want to see.

  • Drop out of sight for a while, DON’T go to those places where you know you could make “inconvenient” meetings. Time and disappearance can have beneficial effects.

We know that this is not an exhaustive list and that every single step requires a lot of courage and  self-love. So, we’ve decided to let you deeply reflect on these, quietly. We’ll come back with part 2 asap.
